I use data to make complex problems measurable.
My Background
I earned my Master of Science in Information Science from CU Boulder in 2026, with a focus on health information technology. Before that, I spent 23 years in the U.S. Army, where collecting and analyzing information to drive decisions was my job.
- At U.S. Cyber Command, I developed the concept for an automated risk assessment tool that used Bayesian risk modeling to monitor more than 15,000 interconnected Department of Defense networks across 40 IT organizations.
- In 2008, I published an article on intelligence collection management in Small Wars Journal (under the name Z. Tenay Guvendiren). The Center for Army Lessons Learned republished it, and it has been cited 15 times.
- At Deloitte, I designed assessments and measured outcomes for federal clients, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the FDA.
How I Use It Now
