This month, I finally stopped dieting! Yeyyyy šš¾šš
I have been on a perpetual diet for the entirety of 2021, trying to lose baby weight.
On the left, I weighed 182 lbs on January 1st, 2021. On the right, I weighed 155 lbs on December 31st, 2021. I lost a total of 27 lbs by the most intense, focused eating method Iāve ever heard of: weighing and measuring every morsel of food that entered my body, tracking macronutrients, and going through two rounds of āre-feedingā to counter metabolic slowing. It has sucked, but it worked when nothing elseāincluding by breastfeeding and other types of calorie restrictionāworked.
I didnāt reach my ideal goal, which is an additional 10 lbs, but I realized the cost of those 10 lbs right now is too high. My heart is tired and I donāt want to think so much about what Iām eating or what I weigh anymore.
I DID pass the Army height-weight standards with 4 lbs to spare, so thatās great news! That was my most scary milestone and God took care of it! (Honestly, I was VERY WORRIED.)
So, Iām officially declaring this season closed. If my body chooses to lose more weight in the future, it is free to do so and free not to do so.
Most importantly, I feel happy, healthy, and back to me.
Iām proud of me!
P.S. A big thanks to Juliette at Lean Mom Fitness for coaching me through it.
