40 Days of Faith – Day 15 | Gaining Momentum

The Status

On Day 15 of our #40daysoffaith adventure moving from MD to CO on the word of God, we decided to start our day on purpose: I started it with declarations that I am healed and I will have joy in this day, even before I got out of bed; whereas, he started it by praying over all of us to remain connected in joyful relationship. Did it work? You bet it did!

We had a beautiful day! It started with finding a vegan-friendly café with a real flat white, for which my husband jokingly-but-not-jokingly praised God (pictured). It continued by us stumbling onto a gold-mine: The Gathering Place in Tulsa, OK. We enjoyed two hours of wonderful outdoor community time at this world-class playground/park/recreation area. We then did another round of praying, followed by a nap for my husband and kid, while I showered/did laundry at a truck stop before my husband did the same. We hit the road to Oklahoma City by 6pm (really late for us) but we needed the extra self-care time today! We met up at the final Tesla Supercharger where we decided to eat out for dinner and enjoy drinks together. We are now in bed by 10pm.

The Takeaway

Today is a continuation of applying Ephesians 6:13 to my life:

“Because [our wrestling is against spiritual forces], take-up every-weapon of God so that you-may-have-the-power to stand-against in the day full-of-pain, having each-and-every-thing worked-out to stand.” Ephesians 6:13

God and I are in charge of me; not C-PTSD, not my past, not my brokenness, and not fear. I have walked this long road of healing with God for years and I will not quit until I have arrived unto the bitter end: full and complete healing and maturity of my body, soul, and spirit.

“God and I are in charge of me; not C-PTSD, not my past, not my brokenness, and not fear.”

The Prayer

God, I heard you and I believe you that I am healed. Help me stand for it until the symptoms of trauma subside forever. Give me discernment for how to circumvent trauma habits and send away spiritual attack. I believe in your word. So be it—amen.
