I Just Passed the ACFT! (Updated)

This is a 4-year God story that I will tell another time. The takeaway is that after years of following the Holy Spirit’s leading in healing and strengthening my body, I just passed the new Army Combat Fitness Test!!!

This is how I feel. Anyone else?

Three Repetition Max Deadlift
Overhead Medicine Ball Throw
Sprint, Drag, (Lateral), Carry, (Sprint)
Close-hand Push-ups with Extension
Plank
5 Km Row
Mic Drop

Seriously, though, I’m ready for vacation. 🤣

Update

As of late August, I got to take the ACFT a second time and did even better on that one! It’s because on the first one (above) I decided to shoot for the minimums in each event so that I could maintain stamina throughout the whole test. Once I had a passing test, I felt free to really push myself in each event, even if that meant failing in one or two due to muscle fatigue (read: sprint, drag, carry). Freedom from the fear of failure always leads to better results, in the end.
