Parenting Time Warp

One minute, I’m staring at my newborn baby, wondering what the heck just happened to my life and the next minute, I’m signing up my toddler for two year old swim classes. 😮

It’s like, “How in the world did two years go by?” Wasn’t she just born?

After two years, I’m still just trying to get my bearings. I’ve definitely told my daughter more than once to “slow down, little one” or “stop growing up!” She just doesn’t seem to listen, though. 🤷‍♀️ If time continues to fly like this, my baby (who just upgraded from a crib to a toddler bed) will soon be driving and then off to college (or marriage or ministry or exploring the world… who knows?) It’s just too fast!

It started the moment she came out. It felt like time started moving at least twice as fast as it did during pregnancy. I call this phenomenon “The Parenting Time Warp” and I don’t know how to stop it.

How about you? When did you realize your baby was growing up way too fast?
